Felted Osman Technique Carpets

These are pictures of a Felting Workshop that Rebecca Lavell organized. She brought Teresa
May-O'Brien who taught the Turkish Osman technique. This is a method of making carpets
trapping muslin in between layers and using roving for outlining designs. We did everything
by hand and had such a good time. It was a 3 day workshop so we stayed at the Fenn lodge
and had these wonderful gourmet meals. You can see me designing my rug and the other
rug with close ups is Tys.

Antique Teddy Bear from Hell

Ty and I took an Antique Teddy Bear Class. The Teddy Bear with the beard and eyebrows

is Ty's and the other is mine. Our instructor Barbara was great and we really enjoyed the

class. I wanted to put them in interesting positions kind of like the Kama Sutra but I thought

that might be too porno and the Teddy Bear Police might come after me. My Goddess we did

have fun.

Ty and I took a Teddy Bear Construction class. These are the Teddy Bears that we made.

They have movable joints and are constructed with very expensive mohair material and

polyfil. Mine is the brown one and Ty's is the gray one.

Ty and I have a company called Creative Props Inc. We make props for the movie
industry. We are doing props for Smallville and Battlestar Galactica right now. We are

Corset Art

The 1870's to 1890's corset images are the type that we are making. These images are thanks
to www.laracorsets.com . We can pick white or black..I will need lots of material to get around
my fat tush and belly. I really want to learn how to make these so I can make art corsets
which will be different than your normal corset. I haven't figured out just what I want to do
with them yet but the possiblilities are endless.

My Corset Class starts today

I am taking a corset class at our local sewing machine store. It is being taught buy a guy who
is a costume designer..figures since the corset was designed by a man. We get our pattern
and instructions tonight so I am really excited. More later.....

Fabric Shit

Ty and I have been doing Fairisle the proper way with weaving in the stitches. So cool.
Ty's is on top mine below.

The two dolls are done with fabric transfers using Photoshop and printing on fabric,then
coloring with Shiva Paint Sticks. We want to do more to get more of the hang of it.

Our Journalling

Ty and I have been journalling on and off for many years. When we were in Art School we
journalled all the time, and then when we started our business we didn't have time to
journal.
